White Sulphur Springs-Mona Gray Brown, 81, formerly of Covington, VA, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017, at Bath Community Hospital with her family at her bedside.
Mona loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved to cook, crochet, travel, and was an avid bingo player. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, W. Verson Brown; her parents, Lucille and Hedrick Wickline; brother, “Cubbie” Wickline; and sister, Barbara Ratliff.
She is survived by four children, Debbie Taylor and husband Greg, Gary Brown and wife Martha, LeeAnne Churchman and husband David, and David Brown; sister, Norma Rock; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
The family received friends Monday evening, Nov. 27, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, Nov. 28, at the funeral home, followed by burial at Fletchers Chapel United Methodist Church in Callaghan, VA.
