The Ronceverte Woman’s Club (RWC) held their regular monthly meeting on May 23. The speaker for the evening was Rev. Steven Baldwin, pastor of the Ronceverte Presbyterian Church. Rev. Baldwin is currently running for a seat in the West Virginia House of Delegates and was recently a member of the Greenbrier County Board of Education. He spoke to the club on the topic of school safety and said his first education priority, if elected, would be financial funding.
The RWC is currently holding a fundraiser which is a raffle for a handsome set of Kobalt tools worth approximately $250 for a donation of $5 per ticket or $10 for three tickets. The tickets may be obtained from club members or at the Ronceverte Public Library. The drawing for the tools will be held at the club’s family picnic on Monday, June 27 at 6:30 p.m. The picnic is a part of the club’s membership drive. Anyone interested in attending the picnic and possibly joining the RWC should call 304-647-4890.
