Recil Ray “Reese” Fleshman III, 50, of Charleston, formerly of Smoot, went home to be with the lord on Feb. 23, 2026. He was born on Jan. 27, 1976, in Beckley to the late Recil “Jack” and Delores Fleshman.
Reese was an avid outdoors man with his favorite hobby being fishing. He loved to have a good time and will always be remembered for his dance moves and love for fishing.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Jack and Delores Fleshman.
Those left to cherish his memories are his devoted daughters Jaclyn (Zack) Johnson, Natalie (Dakota) Legg, Nicole (TJ) Morrison; sisters Jody Fleshman and Tina Keeny, brother Jamie Fleshman; eight grandchildren; and his companion Erin Gonzales.
In lieu of flowers, we request donations be made to the PAAC House in Charleston or the Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg. Both facilities have made a significant impact on our dad’s life. The family is especially grateful for the staff and care provided at the Peyton Hospice House.
Funeral Services will be on Friday, Feb. 27, at 7 p.m. with Pastor Mike Amick officiating. The family will receive friends and neighbors from 6 p.m. until the time of the service.
The directors and staff of Smathers Funeral Chapel are honored to have been entrusted to care for Reese and his family during their great time of need.
