Greenbrier County Schools has a number of Equivalent Time (ET) days that may be used for makeup days.

These days are accrued through the additional minutes each of our schools are in session each day above the number of minutes required by law. To make up the recent snow days, ET days will be used.

The approved calendar modifications are as follows:

  • The Apr. 17 PLC is canceled
  • Friday, Mar. 30 will be an instructional day with a 2-hour early dismissal for PLCs
  • Students’ spring break will be Monday, Apr. 2 – Friday, Apr. 6
  • All staff will report to work on Apr. 3-6 for Professional Learning Days
  • The last day students will report to school is Tuesday, June 5. Students will turn in Re-imagined Time Day packets for June 6, 7 and 8. Students may begin completing and submitting these packets at any time, however, the packets MUST be submitted by June 5.
  • The last workday for teachers is June 15
  • Graduation will remain as scheduled.

“We are pleased to be able to use Equivalent Time to make up the recent snow days. Students may begin working on the final Re-imagined Time packets to turn in prior to June 5,” states Superintendent Jeff Bryant.

“Our students last day will be June 5, which is also the submission deadline for Re-imagined Time Day packets for days 3, 4 and 5. Staff will work through June 15,” concluded Bryant.
