Dr. Gary Ross

The Robert C. Byrd Clinic has added additional hours and health care providers in order to be more accessible to community members.

More evening appointments will be offered with walk-ins welcome until 6:30 p.m. on weekdays. Monday through Friday additional nurse practitioners will be able to serve patients’ medical needs, with at least one medical provider on call 24 hours a day.

Patients with general questions about the Robert C. Byrd Clinic can message the business directly through the clinic’s Facebook page; however, private medical issues will not be addressed due to HIPAA privacy concerns.

The clinic has also welcomed physician Gary Ross, M.D., who is board certified in internal medicine and is also available for Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exams. He is currently accepting new patients and will have hours Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Dr. Ross was born in Rainelle, WV, and raised in Huntington where he attended Marshall University and later graduated from its medical school in 1988. He completed his residency at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, N.C., and was in private practice in Ocean Isle Beach, N.C., for 27 years.

Dr. Ross had family connections to Greenbrier County and has visited the area for years enjoying the many outdoor activities and charm of the Greenbrier Valley. He has three adult daughters who live in Raleigh, N.C.

Those interested in scheduling an appointment at the clinic can call 304-645-3220. It is located at 1464 N. Jefferson St. in Lewisburg.
