Lewisburg – Ray Douglas “Doug” Williamson, 48, passed away Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.

Doug was born Sept. 14, 1969, in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana, to Fredon Bostic Williamson and the late Robert “Bob’’ Allen Williamson.

Doug was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a mechanic with Rodgers Subaru in Fairlea. He was a member of the Lewisburg Fire Department and past member of both the Fairlea Fire Department and Greenbrier County Ambulance.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila Saunders Williamson of Lewisburg; sons, Jason Douglas Williamson and wife Kayla of Glace, Wesley Carter Williamson and wife Cierra of Glace and Bryson David Allen Williamson who’s still at home; grandchildren, Jayla Marie Williamson, Kylie Anna Williumson, Braylee Hoke and Jazmine Hoke; mother, Fredon Bostic Williamson of White Sulphur Springs; sisters, Susan Williamson, Valerie Leigh Williamson and Stephanie Michelle Williamson all of White Sulphur Springs; brothers, Robert Allen Williamson and wife Connie of Frankford, Williams Joseph Williamson and wife Katherine of Chesapeake, VA and Thomas Randolph Williamson and wife Carrie of White Sulphur Springs; special cousins, Rusty Lassiter, Clifford and Brian Bostic and Johnny Bostic; aunts and uncles, Phillip Bostic and wife Janice of White Sulphur Springs and Robert and Pat Baker of Moneta, VA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, Feb. 6, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in White Sulphur Springs where Bishop J. J. Troyer and Pastor Freddy Bostic officiated.

Burial was in the McCreery Cemetery on Tuckahoe Road.

Visitation was Monday evening, Feb. 5, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg.
