Patty Gray was hostess to the Progressive CEOS when they met for their September meeting with nine members and one guest present. Co-president Barbara Shiley welcomed everyone.
True Love is Faithful was the theme of the meditation given by Betty Jo McNeel.
Barbara gave the Health Motivator Tips and asked everyone to name their particular motivator tips for healthy activity in the fall season.
Patty showed the five finished quilts the club made for the Quilts for Kids Project. These will be given to the Family Refuge Center.
A couple of upcoming meeting dates were given. The state conference of the WVCEOS at Jackson’s Mill will be Oct. 4-6. The Fall Leadership meeting was slated at the WVU building at the Fairgrounds on Sept. 16. The cost of the lunch was $9 and needed to be in by Sept. 8. Each club brought a breakfast item (Barbara) and two door prizes (Patty and Colleen).
Lynn Humphreys brought the traveling basket and Colleen took it home with her.
Barbara asked each member to tell of a memorable time they had at a fair or festival. This proved to be very entertaining. The program, Yoga for Seniors was given by Patty. She led us in some exercises and demonstrated several others. She commented that Yoga is very popular and classes are available in several places locally.
The next meeting will be with Linda Schmidt.
Delicious healthy refreshments were enjoyed by Jean Foley, Barbara Shiley, Colleen Walton, Betty Jo McNeel, Lynn Humphreys, Betty Rutherford, Kitty Loudermilk, Faye Honaker, Patty Gray and guest Sandi Whitaker, Colleen’s daughter.
