Preston “Lee” Williams, 63, of Alderson, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026, at Lewisburg Healthcare Center in Ronceverte, WV. Born Feb. 23, 1963, in Caldwell, he was the son of the late Lyle E. Williams and Gladys M. (Tincher) Williams.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lyle Ernest Williams of Alderson.
Lee was a long-time employee at Mountaineer Farm Center in Union, WV. After an accident in 2002, he continued to work at MFC until recently when his health declined. He loved the outdoors, was a hunter, and later in life, loved to sit and watch all “his” animals – deer, bear, raccoons, and his beloved cats. He was an avid football fan and loved to watch the old westerns. He always had the most fun in just spending time with family and friends. Lee was a man with a presence that was hard to overlook and will be impossible to forget.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Gladys Williams of Alderson; two brothers, Kenneth and his wife Suzanne of Trout, WV, Matthew and his wife Millie also of Alderson; one nephew, Brandon “Orville” Williams and his wife Heather of Ronceverte; one great nephew, Brody Lee Neal Williams of Ronceverte, his very special friend Jim Fleshman, along with numerous cousins and friends.
The family would also like to thank Lewisburg Healthcare Center for the amazing and dedicated care their staff showed to us and Lee during his time there – you all are incredible!
In accordance with Lee’s wishes, he will be cremated. Family and friends are welcome to attend at Lobban Funeral Home, 205 S. Monroe Street, Alderson, on Saturday, Sept. 5, from 1 p.m. until the memorial service at 3 p.m., at the funeral home, with Pastor Clifford Stone officiating.
