Phyllis Ann Grimmett

Lewisburg-Phyllis Ann Grimmett, 76, passed away Monday, Mar. 11, 2019, at the Peyton Hospice House.

Born Sept. 27, 1942, at Green Sulphur Springs, she was the daughter of the late Edward Monroe and Anna Williams Fox.

Mrs. Grimmett was a member of the Lewisburg Baptist Church.  She was an Operator and worked in the Business Office for AT&T and retired from ABB as an Accounting Specialist.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sister-in-law, Susan Fox.

Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Graden Reece Grimmett; son, Rodney Reece Grimmett (Katherine) of Boones Mill, VA; daughter, Gina Lynn Mitchell (Donald) of Charlottesville, VA; grandchildren, Ryan Reece Grimmett (Emily), Regan Lewis Grimmett, Connor Reece Mitchell, Caden Andrew Mitchell and Cameron Brady Mitchell; great-grandson, Graden Reece Grimmett; brothers, Alfred Fox (Jenny Ann), Roger Fox (Anna) and David Fox; sister, Carol Sowder (Ronnie); and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Mar. 14, at the Lewisburg Baptist Church where Pastor Jonathan Comer officiated. Burial was in Rosewood Cemetery, Lewisburg.

Visitation was Wednesday, Mar. 13, at the Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg.
