Marlin Lee Linton

Organ Cave-Marlin Lee Linton, 86, passed away Monday, Mar. 11, 2019, at the Greenbrier Health Care Center.

Born Dec. 10, 1932, at Paint Bank, VA, he was the son of the late Coy B. and Effie Mottesheard Linton.

Mr. Linton had a long career in various companies including: Robert Hanna Construction, Point Trucking, Smith Transfer, Bell Lines, Burns Motor Freight and RIPCO.  He was a member of Elizabeth Chapel UMC and had attended Ronceverte Christian Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Nora Agnes Hill Linton.

Survivors include three sons, Butch Linton (Barbara) of Lewisburg, Steve Linton (Donna) of White Sulphur Springs, and Chris Linton (Susan) of Organ Cave; daughter, Sonya Bucklen (David) of Organ Cave; brothers, Junior Linton (Cora Sue) of Waynesboro, VA and Jerry Linton (Betty) of Lewisburg; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Mar. 15, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg. Burial will follow in Rosewood Cemetery, Lewisburg.

Visitation was held Thursday evening, Mar. 14, at the funeral home.
