Lewisburg-Peggy Jean Hoke, 69, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea.
She was born Sept. 27, 1947, on Muddy Creek Mountain, the daughter of the late Theodore Hanson and Margaret Napier Sampson.
Peggy was of the Baptist faith and worked in home healthcare in Greenbrier County.
Survivors include: her longtime companion, Lew Halterman; daughters, Lee Anne McClung and fiance Michael Posey of Lewisburg and Julie Halterman Kirkpatrick of Sterling, VA; sons, Paul Hoke and fiance Beverly Ballengee of Lewisburg and Kevin Halterman of Winston Salem, NC; grandchild, Kayla Hoke of Lewisburg; great-grandchild, Riley Sharp of Lewisburg; brothers, Jerry Hanson of Haymarket, VA, Gary Hanson and Lany Hanson both of Lewisburg.
There will be a memorial service at a later date.
Per her wishes. Peggy’s body was donated to the Human Gift Registry at WVSOM in Lewisburg.
