Lula Katherine Ridgeway

Ronceverte-Lula Katherine Ridgeway, 87, passed away Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, at The Brier Nursing Center in Ronceverte.
Born June 18, 1929, at Ronceverte, she was the last surviving child of the late Charles William and Viola Mae Boone Deem.
Mrs. Ridgeway was of the Methodist Faith and formerly attended Ketron Methodist Church in Ronceverte. She was a retired cook and waitress from the Court Restaurant and Jim’s Drive In.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl H. Ridgeway; sons, James H. and William L. “Bill” Ridgeway; two brothers, Robert Deem and Samuel Deem; sisters, Bessie Deem, Mary Alice Martin, Anna Mae Shafer, Betty Steele, Juanita Harpool and Bonnie Howard.
Survivors include: son, Robert D. Ridgeway and wife Cindy of Ronceverte; two daughters, Shirley A. Schultz and husband Ronald of Adrian, MI and Patricia S. McCoy and husband Gary of Ronceverte; grandchildren, Earl Ridgeway, April Gill, Robert “Bob” Schultz, Lisa Fox, Matthew Ridgeway, Karla Workman, Jackie Williams, Katherine Makra, Lundy Bolen and Andrew “Andy” Wykle; 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte, where Rev. Gary Baker officiated. Burial followed in the Ketron Cemetery in Ronceverte.
Friends called Tuesday at the funeral home before the service.
Pallbearers were: Earl Ridgeway, Matthew Ridgeway, Robert Schultz, Andrew Wykle, Kyle Begley, Hunter Workman and Koley Bolen.
