The Taste of Our Towns (TOOT) festival will draw thousands of residents and visitors to downtown Lewisburg this Saturday, Oct. 13, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

New River Community and Technical College will offer free parking to TOOT guests in the large lot behind the school. Handicap accessible parking will be located at the City National Bank lot and the municipal lot located on Route 219. Additional parking will be available in the City’s municipal lot on Foster Street, as well as in designated parking spaces surrounding the downtown areas.

Carnegie Hall and the City of Lewisburg remind the community the streets in downtown Lewisburg will be closed from 7 a.m. until approximately 4 p.m. on Oct. 13. Washington Street, which will feature three stages and 40+ food vendors, will be closed from Lafayette to Church Street. Food vendors, activities for children, and entertainment continue on Church Street, which will be closed from Washington Street to McIlhenny. South Court Street will be closed from Foster to Randolph Street.

Route 219 will remain open to thru traffic, with local authorities providing traffic direction.  All cars parked along festival routes must be moved prior to the streets closing, or by 7 a.m. Cars may be towed at the owner’s expense. For more information on street closings and TOOT events, please contact Carnegie Hall at 304-645-7917.
