Appalachian Headwaters is offering paid high school internships this summer in Greenbrier County for rising 10th, 11th and 12th graders.
This exciting 10-week internship program focuses on natural resources science and conservation work based at 334 Richland Lane, Lewisburg. Through their work at Appalachian Headwaters, interns will contribute to ongoing programs in pollinator conservation, native plant habitat improvement and community science. Interns will also gain valuable work experience, strong recommendation letters, and practical skills.
Interns will work with other high school and college interns on a daily basis, supervised and mentored by highly qualified Headwaters fellows and staff. This internship will help students build a solid resume for college applications and other future opportunities.
Internships run from Monday, Jun. 12 through Friday, Aug. 18. Interns will earn a stipend of $3,500.
The online application is available at https://forms.office.com/r/Az7VVrwsAM, and at www.appheadwaters.org. Applications will be reviewed after Friday, Mar. 10.
