Orville Henry Williams

Lewisburg-Orville Henry Williams, 83, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.

Born Nov. 3, 1935, at Hughart, WV, he was the son of the late Loyd O. and Mattie J. Williams.

Orville was retired from General Motors after over 30 years of service. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and served his country from 1955-1958.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Edna Sturgell; brothers and sisters, Oretha Franke, Rufus Williams, Harry Williams, Garland Williams, Thelma Spencer and Dale Williams.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Sylvia Faulkner Williams; daughters, Debbie Chapman of Frankford and Sarah Smith (Daniel) of Georgia; grandchildren, Nicole Hale (Wayne) of Maxwelton, Tanya Pascale of Georgia, Joshua Smith of Georgia and Benjamin Sturgell of Lewisburg; great-grandchildren, Parker and Tucker Hale, Tyler Pascale, Carter Herman and Savanna Sturgell; brother, Alfred Williams of Beckley; and sisters, Louise Boothe of Ronceverte, and Ella Cantley of Richmond, VA; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, May 14, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, Lewisburg, where Pastor Mike Teubert officiated.  Burial was in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Visitation was Monday, May 13, at the funeral home.
