New River Community and Technical College proudly celebrated its Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) students during a heartfelt pinning ceremony held on Wednesday, May 14. The event recognized the hard work, commitment, and compassionate spirit of the students completing the CNA program.
Surrounded by family, friends, faculty, and staff, the students were honored for successfully completing their training and for their dedication to a career path centered on service and care. The pinning ceremony, a longstanding tradition in the nursing field, marks the transition from student to professional caregiver.
“These students have shown great perseverance and compassion throughout their training,” said Dr. Angela Strickland, Interim Dean of Allied Health, Nursing, and Natural Science. “They are entering a field that is not only in high demand, but also deeply rewarding — and we are confident they will make a meaningful impact in every life they touch.”
The CNA program at New River CTC prepares students with the knowledge and clinical skills required to assist patients in a variety of healthcare settings.
New River CTC extends heartfelt congratulations to each of the students honored and wishes them continued success as they step into the next chapter of their healthcare journey.
