Registration is underway for the New River Community and Technical College Foundation’s first golf outing on Tuesday, June 21 at Brier Patch Golf Links, Beckley. Proceeds from the event will be split between five scholarships to benefit New River CTC students: Practical Nursing Scholarship, Rahni Borders “Classified Staff” Scholarship, Carolyn Browning Social Services Scholarship, Dr. Washington’s “Make a Difference” Scholarship and the Ryan Ellison Memorial Scholarship Fund.
“We’re really looking forward to the outing,” said New River CTC Foundation Interim Executive Director Mike Green. “This is an opportunity to help our new scholarships reach endowment level and for us to connect with businesses and individuals in the nine county region that the college serves.”
Event registration will begin at 9 a.m., and the tournament will kick-off at 10 a.m. with a shotgun start. Lunch and refreshments will be provided for participants.
Registration for a four-person team is $400, and individual golfers may register for $100. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
