Second Creek – Nancy Lucinda McMillion McCarty, 83, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at the Brier in Ronceverte.
Nancy was born Apr. 1, 1935, in Renick, to the late Homer Holt and Bertha May Cochran McMillion.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Mason Edgar McCarty; sisters, Mary McCarty and Marcie Davis; brothers, Herman McMillion, Herbert McMillion, Henry McMillion and Everett McMillion.
Survivors include daughter, Susie Arnold (Luther); sons, Mason Junior McCarty, and Mike McCarty; grandchildren, Chris McCarty, Charles McCarty, and Terry Arnold; great-grandchildren, Cole Arnold, Tyler Arnold, Kaydance McCarty, and Laramie McCarty.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 26, at 2 p.m. at Highland Park Church with Arnold Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Park Church Cemetery.
Visitation for friends and family will begin at 1 p.m. until the time of service.
A reception will follow at Mountain View Primitive Baptist Church in Second Creek, for family and friends.
