Attorney General Patrick Morrisey announced this week that a consumer representative from the Attorney General’s Office will hold public events during August throughout Greenbrier County. The office representative will educate consumers on the latest scams in their area, provide tips on how to guard their personal information and answer questions about consumer protection settlements.
Justin Arvon, a consumer outreach and compliance specialist with the office, will host the events, which are scheduled below:
• Aug. 9: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Mobile Office Hours at Greenbrier County Library, 152 Robert W. McCormick Drive, Lewisburg
• Aug. 12-21: 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. Information Booth at the State Fair of West Virginia, State Fairgrounds, 947 Maplewood Avenue, Fairlea
• Aug. 25: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Mobile Office Hours at Rainelle Medical Center, 645 Kanawha Avenue, Rainelle
“These public events are a great way for consumers to talk one-on-one with our consumer representatives,” Attorney General Morrisey said. “Consumers can learn about scams, get information on keeping personal information safe and ask general questions about our office.”
The events are open to the public; reservations are not required. For information, contact Justin Arvon at 304-90-6462.
