Michael Freddie Thomas, 56, passed away Sunday Apr. 13, 2025. Born Sept. 3, 1968, he was the son of Freddie Forrest Thomas and the late Gloria Jean Barker in Ohio.

Michael was an avid outdoorsman; he loved to hunt and fish. Michael truly loved to bow hunt, and he shared this love with both of his sons, he showed them both the magic and serenity of the great outdoors. Michael loved to read, cook, and play golf, he also had a love for music and poetry. Those who knew Michael knew that he was selfless, always thinking of others and putting them first. Most of all Michael loved his family. He was a beloved son, father, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Michael was preceded in death by his loving son Coll Thomas, his mother Gloria Jean “Jeannie” Barker, and his grandmother Dollie Faye Thomas.

Survivors include his father and stepmother Freddie and Beverly Thomas of Clintonville, son Chance Thomas of Union, brother Shawn Thomas and wife Marilee of Williamsburg. Mother of Chance and Coll and close friend Christy Brown Eggleston of Gap Mills. Nephews Caleb Thomas, Cody Workman and Sidney Judy, Nieces Shyanne Thomas and Tiffany Workman, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held Apr. 27, at the Community Building in Williamsburg. The family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 p.m. Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net. Arrangements by Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.
