Frankford-Michael Eugene “Led Head” Kelley, 50, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at his home in Frankford.

Born Nov. 19, 1963, in Baltimore. MD, he was a son of the late Franklin Eugene and Violet Jean Perry Kelley.

Mike was a truck driver for ALT Trucking, a member of the Rainelle Moose Lodge, an avid fan of NASCAR and local Go-Cart Racing, and volunteered as a DJ at the Rainelle and White Sulphur Springs Nursing Homes.

His favorite sayings were, “Don’t stick your finger where you wouldn’t stick your lip” and “I’ll be hanging in there like a hair on a biscuit.”

He is survived by: his wife, Cheri “Kim” Benny Kelley; daughter, Hannah “Love Bug” Kelley of the home; sons, Scott (Amanda) Kelley of Ronceverte, Michael (Shannan) Kelley of Renick and Jesse “Bittle” (Brooke) Kelley of White Sulphur Springs; grandson, Ryker “Tater Bug” Kelley; sisters, Debbie Kessler of Texas and Faye Hitchens of Kentucky: brother, Pete (Charlene) Kissler of Washington State and a “special brother,” Freddie Perry of Virginia.

A gathering in his memory will be held Saturday, Mar. 15 at the Frankford Fire Department from 5 to 9 p.m.
