Lewisburg-Melissa Ann Burns, 62, passed away Monday, Nov. 29, 2021, at the Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg, WV.

Born July 15, 1959, in Ronceverte, she was the daughter of the late Donald Kent and Nancy Ellen Simmons Loudermilk.

Melissa worked as an LPN and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Rebecca Loudermilk; sisters, Jennifer Conkey and Theresa Lavalley; and brother, Donnie Loudermilk.

Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Ramsey of Lewisburg; grandson, Noah Neal; brothers, David and Shawn Loudermilk; uncle, Gene Simmons (Linda); and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 6, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Stewart Farley officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow the service in the Morningside Cemetery, Renick.

We will be following COVID-19 recommendations and ask guests to wear a mask.
