Life Legacy of Robert Defibaugh, Jr.

June 18, 1940 – Dec. 11, 2013

Mr. Defibaugh was called home on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013. Born in Caldwell, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Defibaugh, Sr. and Margaret Hylton Defibaugh.

He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Winnsboro and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his loving wife, Velma B. Defibaugh, Mr. Defibaugh is survived by two daughters; Denise Defibaugh Smith (Robert) of Montcalm and Debra Defibaugh Wilson (John) also of Montcalm; three brothers; William T. Defibaugh (Rachel) of Caldwell, Jerry W. Defibaugh (Ida) of Free Union, VA and Richard E. Defibaugh (Sharon) of Crozet, VA; three sisters, Esther Jones of Prince George, VA, Ruby Whanger (John) of Clintonville and Glenna Sams of Waynesboro, VA; four grandchildren, Robert and Matthew Defibaugh, Alice White, Kendall Wilson; and one great-grandchild, Auroa White. Mr. Defibaugh is predeceased by one son, Robert L. Defibaugh, III.

Officiating Minister; Rev. Harry Varn. Active pallbearers: Jim Bellomy, David Ferguson, Richard Branham, James Sanders, Johnny Covin and Barney Smith. Pianist: Dorcas Ligon. Funeral Home and Director: Pope Funeral Home – Hennis Pope.
