<p class="BasicParagraph" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 8.65pt;"><b><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 120%;"><img class=" wp-image-38902 alignleft" src="https://mountainmedianews.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/13/2019/09/Joseph-Lee-Workman-obit-224x300.jpg" alt="" width="159" height="213" />Renick</span></b><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 120%;">-Joseph Lee Workman, 98, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019, at the Greenbrier Health Care Center, Lewisburg.</span></p> <p class="BasicParagraph" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 8.65pt;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 120%;">Born Aug. 25, 1921, at Chestnut Ridge, WV, he was the son of the late James Patrick and Mahalia Baldwin Workman.</span></p> <p class="BasicParagraph" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 8.65pt;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 120%;">Lee farmed his entire life and loved every minute of it. He was a life member of the Buffalo Trail Riders of Goshen, VA and the Percheron Horse Association of America.</span></p> <p class="BasicParagraph" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 8.65pt;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 120%;">In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, Ellen Jane Workman; children, Janice Brodt, David and Joseph Jerry Workman; brothers, James, Alfred and Clay Workman; sisters, Marzine McCoy, Cordelia Reinholt and Florra McMillion.</span></p> <p class="BasicParagraph" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 8.65pt;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 120%;">Survivors are children, Robert “Bob” Workman (Jill) of New Freedom, PA, Gary Pat Workman (Karole) of Laurel, DE and Pam Skidmore (Cindy) of Renick; sister, Jane Roach of Alta; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.</span></p> <p class="BasicParagraph" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 8.65pt;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 120%;">Funeral service was held on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, Lewisburg, where Pastor Roger Alder officiated.</span></p> <p class="BasicParagraph" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 8.65pt;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 120%;">Burial followed in the Workman Family Cemetery, Renick.</span></p> <p class="BasicParagraph" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 8.65pt;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 120%;">Visitation was Monday evening, Sept. 9 at the funeral home.</span></p> <p class="BasicParagraph" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 8.65pt;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 120%;">Online guestbook may be signed at www.morganfh.net.</span></p>
