John Robert Hiltner, 69, of Lewisburg, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024, at his home. Born June 1, 1955, in Canton, OH, he was the son of the late Virgil Foy Hiltner and Mary Stauffer Hiltner.  

Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Barbara VanDerlin Hiltner, daughters, Amanda Sergent (Tom) and Emily Lawrence (James), brother, Eric Virgil Hiltner (Bonnie), sister, Peggy Ann Hiltner (Michael Holz).

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, September 29, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, Lewisburg, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Sunday at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greenbrier River Trail Foundation – P.O. Box 203, Marlinton WV 24954, which was a favorite place for John + Barb + Merlin to hike + ride their ebikes. To donate online go to https://www.greenbrierrivertrail.com/.
