James Lewis O’Brien

Ronceverte-James Lewis O’Brien, 81, of passed away Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, at White Sulphur Springs Family Care Center.

He was born Sept. 2, 1933, at Ronceverte, a son of the late Earl Lewis and Gladys Irene Leslie O’Brien.

Mr. O’Brien was a retired truck driver, was of the Baptist faith and was a Korean Army Veteran.

He is survived by: his wife, Nancy L. O’Brien; daughter, Terri Hylton (Mike) of Ronceverte; two sons, Nicky O’Brien (Linda) of Ronceverte and Marty O’Brien (Sue) of Lewisburg; granddaughter, Emily O’Brien Taylor (Scott) of Ronceverte; step-grandchildren, Phillip Boggs of Lewisburg, Levi Hylton of Ronceverte and Sara Blankenship; great-granddaughter, Brylee Taylor; and brother, Bill Allen of Ohio.

His funeral service was held on Wednesday, Mar. 4, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, where Pastor Tim Dillon and Pastor Chad Dingus officiated. Burial was in Rosewood Cemetery, Lewisburg, with military honors.

A visitation was held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Pallbearers were: Levi Hylton, Don Hylton, Andrew Thomas, Jeff Bostic, Kevin O’Brien and Ronnie Hill.
