Lindside-James Arless Alexander, Sr., 62, passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, 2109, at Morgantown.

Born Nov. 4, 1956, at Lindside, he was the son of Charles Arless “Obbie” Alexander of Peterstown and the late Susie Ellen Terry Alexander.

In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by sister, Ellen L. “Sis” Dillon.

James was a self-employed truck driver and a loving son, father, grandfather, and brother.

In addition to his father he is survived by son, Arless Alexander and wife Katrina of Lindside; daughter, Cheyanne Alexander of Lewisburg; brother, Tommy Allen Alexander and wife Nedra of Peterstown; sister, Debra Sue McMahan and husband Carl of Peterstown; and five grandchildren, Jacob and Makayla Alexander, Maia, Mason and Zoey; brother-in-law, Tim Dillon of Peterstown; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 24, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown where Pete Dunford officiated. Burial followed in the Bradley Cemetery, Lindside.

Visitation was before the service on Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers were Dickie Broyles, Mike Crawford, Timmy Broyles, Robert Clowers, Alan Wright, Nathan Carr, Billy Joe Cassidy and Steve Dowdy.
