Hobert Henry Dalton

White Sulphur Springs-Hobert Henry Dalton, 77, passed away early Thursday morning, July 28, 2016, at his residence.
Born Oct. 2, 1938, at Glace, he was a son of the late Herman Ross and Ila Bessie McGrady Dalton.
Hobert was of the Baptist faith and served his country in the U.S. Army. He was retired from White Sulphur Springs Nursery. Hobert loved music and played the banjo and guitar.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gordon and Jutson Dalton; three sisters, Cova Hilton, Delores Callison and Janet Hilton.
Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years, Reta at home; daughter, Charlotte Marshall (P.K.) of Caldwell; son, Hobert Henry Dalton, Jr. of Louisville, KY; grandson, James Marshall; sister, Shelva Jean Burr (Charles) of White Sulphur Springs; and brother-in-law, Wilbur Hilton of White Sulphur Springs; and several nieces and nephews.
He requested to be cremated and a private service for the family.
Shanklin Funeral Home, White Sulphur Springs, is serving the family.
