Everyone is invited to come help clean up the Greenbrier River on Sunday, Apr. 14, at the Fort Spring Boat Launch and Anvil Rock swimming area. Bags and gloves will be provided.

It’s time for spring cleaning in the Greenbrier River Watershed!

As we do every year, the Greenbrier River Watershed Association is partnering with Make-it-Shine to assist communities and individuals in sprucing up for summer. This year’s date is Sunday, Apr. 14.

This year, cleanup will take place at the Fort Spring Boat Launch and Anvil Rock swimming area, from 1 to 5 p.m. If you are interested in helping us out, meet at the Fort Spring Boat Launch at 12:45 p.m. Bags and gloves will be provided.

If you live far from Lewisburg, but still in the watershed (which is entirely possible and even likely) just call us at 304-647-4792, and let us know where you want to clean and we will arrange for trash pick-up and getting you bags and gloves to use. Remember, you cannot clean up an Adopt-A-Highway or solely on private property. So, Pocahontas, Monroe, Greenbrier and Summers, get your friends together and call us. We will also be posting details on our Facebook under “Greenbrier Watershed.”

We hope to see you on Apr. 14!
