Clintonville-Helen Jean Davis, passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 16, 2017, in her home.

Helen was born in Lookout on July 6, 1932, to the late Louis David Merritt and George W. Davis.

She graduated from Nuttall High School and went on to work for the Worthington Industries in a factory in Ohio where she retired. She moved back to West Virginia where she lived on a farm in Clintonville. She attended the Sam Black Church faithfully and loved her family.

Helen is survived by her sister, Lucy Ann Taylor and husband Clayton of Madison, MI; stepsisters, Sue, Norma and Aida; first cousins, Jean Ann Miller and husband Dan and Carolyn Harris and husband Jock; nieces and nephews, Cathy Ford and husband Marty, Amy Ogden and husband Chris and John Taylor and wife Lucy; and many great-nieces and nephews who she loved very much.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 19, at the Sam Black Church. Internment followed in the Wallace Memorial Mausoleum in Clintonville.

The family invited friends to join them one hour prior to the service to remember the life of Helen Davis.
