Fairlea-Hazel May Hoke Jackson, 73, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016, at her home.

She was born Aug. 15, 1942, in Hollywood, Monroe County, to the late Jahue Ivan Hoke and Hattie Jane Hall.
Hazel was a proud and loving member of the Greenbrier Valley Church of the Nazarene where she was a part of the ladies group “GALS of GVCN.” She retired from AEI.
Hazel is preceded in death by sisters, Betty Hoke, Violet Hoke; brothers, Junior Hoke, Elba Hoke, Wilbur Hoke, Lonnie Hoke, Ulysses Hoke and Henry Hoke.
Survivors are her daughters, Catherine J. Wolcott of Fairlea, April D. Simms and partner Fritz of Ronceverte; son, Jahue L. Wolcott and wife Brenda of Roanoke; brothers, Roy, Willie and Charlie Hoke all of Hollywood; and three grandchildren, Katlyn, Janet and Trace Simms.
Her funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 29, at Greenbrier Valley Church of the Nazarene where Pastor Glen Thaxton officiated. Burial was in the Fairview Christian Church Cemetery at Keenan.
The family received friends at the church Wednesday before the service.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to a local charity to help the families of the ones lost in the recent flood.
