Harry Dale Crookshanks, Jr., 68, of Rainelle, WV, passed away at Bowers House on Mar. 27, 2025, following a brief illness.

Harry was born at home in Cornstalk, WV, on Feb. 28, 1957, to the late Harry Dale Crookshanks, Sr. and Joyce Fay Mullins Crookshanks.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Brenda, and his son, Harry III.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Holly, and his grandson, Brendan.

Harry was a retired cable splicer, previously working at Verizon. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, being a jack of all trades, and reading as many books as possible.

Per his wishes, Harry will be cremated and buried next to his wife.

A memorial service will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, Apr. 12, at Wallace and Wallace Chapel, Rainelle with Staci Cornell officiating. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorial donations be made to Hospice of Southern West Virginia.

A ship that sails backwards will never see the dawn of a new day.

Online condolences may be made to the family by visiting www.wallaceandwallacefh.com. Wallace & Wallace, Inc. of Rainelle, WV, is in charge of arrangements.
