Greenbrier Valley Theatre (GVT), the State Professional Theatre of West Virginia, is proud to present The Garth Newel Piano Quartet on Sunday, June 5, at 2:30 p.m.
Tickets are $16. For tickets or more information, call GVT’s box office at 304-645-3838 or visit www.gvtheatre.org.
The Garth Newel Piano Quartet from the Garth Newel Music Center in Warm Springs, Va. is comprised of faculty musicians Teresa Ling on violin, Evelyn Grau on viola, Isaac Melamed on cello and Jeannette Fang on piano. The group is known for their heartfelt interpretations of classic and contemporary favorites. Their concert will feature the work of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Sergei Rachmaninoff.
“It’s a first-rate classical music event,” GVT’s music director Kermit Medsker said.
The renowned musical group from the heart of Virginia’s Appalachian Mountains has been seen on stages all over the world. Their past venues include Carnegie Hall (New York City), Strathmore Hall, The Chautauqua Institution and the San Diego Chamber Music Workshop.
