The Greenbrier County School District is once again taking part in a county-wide effort to support heart health in the schools and recognize survivors and those we have lost to heart disease and stroke. On Feb. 10, Eastern Greenbrier Middle School will hold their Red Out game and on Feb. 13, Greenbrier East High School will hold their Red Out game against Boyd County High School from Kentucky. Then, on Feb. 17, both Greenbrier East High School and Western Greenbrier Middle School will have their Red Out games against Nicholas County High School. All games begin at 7:30 p.m.

The events are locally sponsored in part by Dr. Thomas W. von Dohlen and The Heart Center in Lewisburg. Greenbrier County is one of the only counties in the state to partner with the American Heart Association on a “Red Out” basketball campaign and recognition of heart health for the month of February, which is American Heart Month.
