The GEHS Golf gold team played a match on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at Pipestem for 9 holes on the par 36 front nine against Princeton, Oak Hill and Woodrow Wilson. Each team consisted of five players, which count the low four total.
Princeton finished first with a total of 153. Individual scores were Jared Porter 35 (medalist), Tyler Hillyer 36, Steven Parker 39, Andrew Wilson 43 and Bryson Murphy 57. Oak Hill finished second with a total of 155. Scores were Craig Buchanan 36, Michael Nibert 39, David Thompson 39, Devon Elder 41 and Kenny Snuffer 46. Greenbrier East was third with 157. Scores were Walker Dent 38, Madison Erskine 39, Owen Wood 39, Griffin King 41 and Tyler Totten 41. Woodrow Wilson was fourth with a total of 169. Scores were Thomas Kozar 41, Kase Poling 42, Kenny Maiolo 42, Hunter Halstead 44 and Oliver Bradley 54.
All 12 GEHS players were set to play for the gold team and green team on Thursday evening, Sept. 12 at the Cliffview Golf Course in Covington for a nine-hole match against Covington.
