Project Graduation is currently underway making every effort to once again provide a safe, drug-free environment for the Greenbrier East High School seniors’ after-graduation party. The party will consist of games, prizes, food and a final senior gathering.

The school staff and administration recognize the temptations the our young people face in today’s world, states Principal Jeff Bryant. “We feel fortunate to offer this ‘Party’ as a safe alternative.”

Without the continued support form the community at large, Bryant says, this party would not be possible. All donations that are collected are used for the benefit of the seniors through prizes. Last year, every attending senior left with a prize, he said. Prizes included computers, kayaks, bikes, TVs, $2,014 in cash and much more.

“We have 245 seniors who plan to walk across the stage on May 31. We are asking the community to please remember our group as we honor our Graduating Class of 2014,”says Bryant.

If monetary donations are not an option, a donation of food products, paper products, or prizes would be equally appreciated. Please send your monetary donation to Project Graduation, P.O. Box 1429, Lewisburg, WV 24901. If you have any questions, please contact GEHS Project Graduation Chair Tracie Brackenrich at 304-520-8724.
