There will be a fundraiser dinner for the Alderson Community Market from 3 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15, following the first annual Fall Festival on the Bridge. The suggested donation is $10 per person, with children age five and under free. The fundraiser dinner will be held at the Old Greenbrier Baptist Church in Alderson, and the funds will be used to help the Alderson Community Market provide community programs.
The menu will be: chili with Caring Acres Farm beef, brown beans (vegetarian), corn muffins made with Arbaugh Farm’s cornmeal, jalapeno cheddar corn muffins made with Elizabeth Farm jalapenos, butter from Scenic Acres, jams from Morgan Meadow Farm, southern style greens made from Scenic Acres fresh kale, assorted desserts provided by Jen’s Café and Blue Moon Bagels, and sweet tea, unsweet tea, and coffee.
