Frankford Elementary Reading is Fundamental

Frankford Elementary is in its 37th year associated with Reading is Fundamental (RIF). Several years ago this program was funded by the federal government with matching funds but these funds have been eliminated. The school tries to continue the program of giving each student in the school a minimum of three books a year. AT the distribution in October, the students were introduced to Flat Stanley, a story about a boy that was flattened by a bulletin board and was so flat that he could slid under doors and even travel in an envelope. The students were asked to send Flat Stanley all across the United States and send in photos of Flat Stanley seeing the sights.

If you would like to support this literacy program send in your donations to Frankford Elementary RIF, Rt 219 N, Frankford, WV 24938. For each $3 donated, a label will be placed in a book indicating the donor.
