Fatal fire occurs in White Sulphur Springs

On Friday, May 8, at approximately 6:46 a.m., members of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residential fire that occurred on State Route 92 just north of White Sulphur Springs. White Sulphur Springs Fire and EMS responded to the scene, which was a garage apartment.

Preliminary indications are that the lone occupant had exited the residence, obtained a fire extinguisher and re-entered the home.
