Anyone who plays video games has heard of the Fallout franchise, a multimillion dollar grossing game series set in a post-apocalyptic 1950’s style America.

Players must scavenge around the wasteland left behind after a nuclear fallout in order to survive, fighting off mutant animals and rogue groups of raiders.

The exciting thing is, the newest game, Fallout 76, will feature maps of popular locations around West Virginia, including The Greenbrier Hotel. It is scheduled for release on November 14, 2018.

Fallout 76 is the eighth game in the series. The previous seven are Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel, Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Fallout Shelter, and Fallout 4.

The trailer for Fallout 76 was released on June 10 at the popular video game convention E3, appropriately set to the song “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” Fallout 76 will be Bethesda’s first online multiplayer game in the franchise, switching it up from the previous Fallout games. However, certain parts of the game will still be able to be played alone. The game will feature an open world four times the size of Fallout 4, which is already massive by game standards. Fallout 76 is a prequel to the earlier games, and is set in an alternative timeline.

The New River Gorge Bridge is featured in another part of the Fallout 76 map. All photo rights Bethesda Game Studios.

Several in-game locations that have already been released include the West Virginia State Capitol, Woodburn Hall at West Virginia University, the New River Gorge Bridge, and Camden Park. Players will also be able to fight mutated monsters based on West Virginia folklore, such as the Mothman and the Flatwoods Monster.

The game is available for pre-order, but hurry, they are going fast!
