Ezekiel Lanek

White Sulphur Springs-Ezekiel “Zeke” Lanek, 41, passed away Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, of injuries received in an automobile accident.

He was born June 22, 1977, in Hinton, a son of Joseph and Gail O’Shaughnessy Lanek.

Ezekiel was a self-employed mechanic, a restaurant server and a Navy veteran. He was a loving father, talented musician and loved music of all types.

He is survived by his parents, Joseph and Gail Lanek of White Sulphur Springs; two daughters, Sasha Kate Lanek and Sophia Grace Lanek, both of White Sulphur Springs; and two sisters, Hannah Lanek Matarazzo (Michael) of Charlottesville, VA and Julia Lanek of Tampa, FL; and nephews, Luca Michael Matarazzo and Mason Drew Matarazzo.

A private service will be held by the family at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to the Child and Youth Advocacy Center in Lewisburg, WV.

Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs is in charge of arrangements.
