Mountaineer Food Bank (MFB) is proud to announce a $75,000 grant from the EQT Foundation to support the Food Bank’s Mobile Pantry Program, which brings fresh produce, pantry staples, and protein directly to communities across West Virginia with limited access to traditional food resources.
The Mobile Pantry Program hosts approximately 250 distributions annually across MFB’s 48-county service area, serving between 200 and 1,000 households at each stop. This investment from the EQT Foundation will help MFB purchase and distribute nutritious food, fuel, and maintain its fleet, and sustain critical operations that ensure consistent food access for families in need.
“EQT Foundation’s generosity helps us keep our mobile pantries rolling and our promise to West Virginia communities strong,” said J. Chad Morrison, Chief Executive Officer of Mountaineer Food Bank. “This support ensures we can continue delivering food where it’s needed most—reaching families who rely on these distributions month after month.”
Founded by EQT Corporation, the EQT Foundation invests in programs that enhance the quality of life and economic vitality of the communities where EQT operates. Their support of MFB’s Mobile Pantry Program aligns with a shared commitment to strengthen rural communities, improve access to basic needs, and create pathways to stability.
Mountaineer Food Bank invites community partners and volunteers to join upcoming mobile distributions and help expand local impact.
