Elizabeth O’Dell Arbaugh Fullen

Lewisburg-Elizabeth O’Dell Arbaugh Fullen, 90, formerly of Asbury, later of Lewisburg, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016, in her residence at The Seasons in Lewisburg.

She was born Oct. 24, 1925, in Williamsburg, to Clyde H. O’Dell and Francis F Toothman.

Elizabeth retired from the WV Dept. of Highways, District 9, in 1988, as the Construction Department Secretary after 28 and a half years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Julian Ray Arbaugh; her second husband, Harry Forrest Fullen; and her brothers, Lawrence O’Dell of Asbury and John O’Dell of Dunbar, where his wife, Myrtle O’Dell still resides.

Survivors include: her sons, Julian Ray Arbaugh and wife Brenda of Bragg, Stanley O. Fullen and wife Marsi of Russell, KY; step-daughter, Carol Jean Kirby of Lexington, VA; granddaughter, Meigon Arbaugh of Bragg; grandsons, Julian Arbaugh of Asbury, William Fullen and Jonathan Fullen, both of Louisville. KY, and David Kirby of Lexington, VA.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of The Seasons, caregiver Mrs. Hilda Perry of White Sulphur Springs and the workers from Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea for their loving care.

In keeping with our Mother’s wishes, there was a graveside service held Wednesday, June 22, at the Asbury Methodist Church Cemetery where Rev. Sammy Groves officiated. There was no visitation.

Donations may be made to Asbury Methodist Church Cemetery, c/o Mary Jane Harvey, 10192 Alta Drive, Asbury, WV 24916 or to Peyton Hospice House, 1265 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901 in Fairlea.
