Dennis Wayne “Chuck” Blankenship, of Rupert, passed away Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025 at the age of 43.
He was the beloved son of Dennis and Clara Blankenship, and father of Sawyer and Finn Blankenship.
Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Blankenship, Sr., and grandparents, George “Willie” and Maxine Lyons Blankenship and John and Dorothy Cline Kirk.
He is survived by his mother, Clara Blankenship, sons, Sawyer and Finn Blankenship, sister, Crystal Holliday and family, Mitch, Granger, and Samantha, to cherish his memory.
Chuck was a graduate of Greenbrier West High School, and graduated from West Virginia University with a forestry degree. He continued to be a die-hard mountaineer fan; loved hunting and fishing; and spending time with his boys.
Following Chuck’s wishes, there will be no services.
