Debbie Caroline Whanger

Caldwell-Debbie Caroline Whanger, 47, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.

Born Mar. 22, 1971, at Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Ray McMillion and Shirley Caroline Lewis McMillion.

Debbie was a member of the Lewisburg Baptist Church and had worked as a caretaker prior to the accident in 2007 that left her paralyzed.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, John and Ruby Whanger; one brother and one sister.

Survivors include her loving devoted husband of 30 years, Harvey J. Whanger; sons, Jonathan Ray Whanger (Billye) of Florida and James Robert Whanger of North Carolina; brothers, Hobert McMillion (Ethel) of Pennsylvania and Tom McMillion (Carol) of Frankford; sisters, Patty Trentzsch (Barry) of Alderson and Helen Melendez (Polo) of Delaware; grandchildren, Annasophia Rae Whanger and Amelia Grace Whanger; brother-in- law, John Robert Whanger (Barbara) of Florida; and sisters-in-law, Betty Holliday (Kelvin) of Oak Hill and Barbara Meador (Mark) of Hinton.

Funeral service was held on Sunday, Nov. 25, at the Lewisburg Baptist Church where Pastor Jonathan Comer officiated. Entombment followed in the Greenbrier Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation was Saturday evening, Nov. 24, at the church.
