County-level winners of the West Virginia State Bus Safety Poster Contest winners were recognized during the Nov. 12 Greenbrier County Board of Education meeting.
School Bus Safety Week was established in 1966 by the National Association for Pupil Transportation, National Association of State Directors of Pupil Transportation Services and National School Transportation Association. Celebrated each fall, the week promotes awareness on the local and state level through poster and speech contests, distribution of school bus safety toolkits, and other activities to raise awareness of school bus safety issues.
