Members of Greenbrier Valley Off-Road Biking Association hold year-round community events such as trail maintenance meet-ups, all-levels bike rides, and fundraisers to get more people outside and on bikes.

The Greenbrier Valley Off-Road Biking Association (GVORBA) invites the community to Dirt and Dialogue: A GVORBA Social Gathering, happening on Saturday, Apr. 26, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Hammer Cycles, 403 Washington St. West, in Lewisburg. This event is for everyone—whether you’re an experienced rider, new to cycling, or just interested in meeting other outdoor enthusiasts in the Greenbrier Valley.

Dirt and Dialogue is all about building community, learning new skills, and getting involved with local cycling initiatives. Attendees can expect to:

Learn About GVORBA – Find out how we’re working to build and maintain great trails and bike parks in the area.

Trail Maintenance & Development – Get the inside scoop on our trail maintenance and development plans and learn how you can pitch in during our monthly trail days.

Meet the Hellbenders – Our youth mountain bike team kicks off its season in July! Learn about the team, our mission, and how young riders can get involved.

Bike Maintenance & Riding Clinics – Gain essential skills with sessions on pre-ride bike checks, gravel riding techniques, and trail work basics.

Weekly Group Rides for All Levels – Starting in May, we’ll be hosting regular weekly rides open to all rider levels. Stop by to learn more and sign up for updates!

Join Us for a Ride – Hit the trails with us! Join the group ride on the Milkshake Trail (behind Hammer Cycles) at 4:30 p.m. and stick around for an all-ages Critical Mass Ride through town at 5 p.m., ending at Briergarten.

Bike Giveaway & Raffle – Don’t miss your chance to win a brand-new bike and other great prizes!

Food On-Site – Grab a bite, meet fellow riders, and enjoy a great day celebrating the cycling community.

Dirt and Dialogue is a low-risk, high-reward opportunity to connect with like-minded cyclists, ask questions, and find ways to get involved in the local biking scene. Whether you’re looking to volunteer, ride more, or support youth cycling, Dirt and Dialogue is the perfect place to start. Drop in anytime during the event.
