New River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship

service Sunday, Jan. 18 will begin at 11 a.m. Visitors are welcome to attend. The Fellowship is located at 911 South Kanawha Street, Beckley.

Grace United Methodist Church

There will be a Benefit Dinner for Burn Victim Kayla Dunbar and family Sunday, Jan. 18 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, Fort Spring. The menu will be ham, brown beans, scalloped and potato dishes, coleslaw, corn bread, biscuits, desserts and drinks. There will also be a bake sale/dessert auction. Kayla was accidentally burned over 83 percent of her body and is in Cabell Huntington Hospital. She will be there at least four months. Sponsored by the Alderson Charge of the United Methodist Church. Please contact Pastor Rick Duncan for questions at 304-923-2735.

Greenbrier Valley Aglow Community Lighthouse

holds its monthly meeting the third Monday of the month in Lewisburg. The guest speaker will be Ruth Patterson of Alderson. The public is invited to the next meeting Monday, Jan. 19 at 7 p.m. at Living Waters Family Worship Center on Montvue Drive. For more information, please call 304-445-7742. Aglow International is an Inter-denominational group of women and men whose vision is to carry the truth of the kingdom that restores people to a radiant place of relationship with God and one another.
