The Sanctuary Choir of Greenbrier Valley Church of the Nazarene in Fairlea will present its 2015 Christmas cantata, “Ten Thousand Joys,” this Sunday, Dec. 6, in the 10:30 a.m. worship service.
This year’s cantata is composed of songs from three individual Christmas cantatas presented by the choir in the past several years. Locally written narration has been added to provide the common thematic elements of the songs.
The Greenbrier Valley Nazarene Sanctuary Choir uses fully orchestrated soundtracks for accompaniment. Each is provided by the publishers: Lillenas Publishing Company and Brentwood-Benson Publishing Company.
Adult members of the choir include Cathy Wolcott, Hazel Jackson, Bubby Kuhn, Glen Thaxton, Mildred Meadows, Cliff Gibson, Tim Midkiff, Beverly Sams Palmer, Lisa Kuhn, Renee Gibson, Leonard Meadows, Cantini Parkinson, JoAnn Whitaker, Rose Bogan, sound technician Heather Midkiff, and director Jonathan Wright.
Greenbrier Valley Church of the Nazarene is located at Davis Stuart Road and Dawkins Drive, approximately one-half mile south of Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea. The Rev. Glen Thaxton is pastor.
