Alderson-Christine Atwell, born in the sixties, died Monday, May 2, 2022 at Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg.

She was raised in Orland Park, IL, and moved to Greenbrier County in 2003.

She graduated from Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park, IL, in 1977 and received a B.A. in psychology from Richard Stockton College in Pomona, NJ, in 2000 and graduated Summa Cum Laude.

She was a dancer, a photographer, a writer, an artist, a homemaker and a loving wife. She was a member of the Alderson Womens Club and spent much of her free time tending to various flower beds around the town of Alderson.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Brandner, mother, Elizabeth (Kravetz) Brandner and her brother, James.

She is survived by her husband, William Atwell, Jr. of Alderson; her brothers, Thomas of Aiken, SC, and Daniel of Oak Forrest, IL; and her sister, Renee Crowley of New Lenox, IL.

Graveside services will be Saturday, May 7, at 1 p.m. at Carmel Cemetery in Gap Mills, with her brother Thomas officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to HospiceCare, 1265 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901.

Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte is in charge of arrangements.
